4 out of 5 stars Works fine, solid build quality   November 5, 2008
This KVM is made of metal and feels solid and well-built. It comes with an AC power adapter,
but it works fine for me without the adapter.

Overall I give this product thumbs-up, it has been working fine with no glitches or odd behavior at all.

To switch between computers you have to press the button on the unit, there is no keyboard
shortcut that will toggle between computers, a feature that some other KVM's have.

Comes with a pair of bonded KVM cables which are kind of stiff and heavy, as cables go.
A VGA-male to VGA-female cable is bonded to a USB-A to USB-B cable.

Another plus is that this KVM is covered by a 3-year warranty direct thru Startech.

5 out of 5 stars Great product   August 5, 2008
Great product. Blows away the Belkin KVM I was using. Two computers on one monitor, keyboard, mouse and printer - no problems.

5 out of 5 stars Great switch!   June 24, 2008
This worked very well for my parents. While trying to get them used to a Mac, we have this switch setup for their PC and Mac and haven't had any issues!

5 out of 5 stars Works quite well for my purposes   January 22, 2008

I use the unit to switch back and forth between two macs: a PowerPC G4 and an Intel G5, both running Leopard. There really are no serious issues. Yes, there is a momentary lag in switch-over time, but if you are at the point where one second literally causes you to fret, you need help :). One minor inconvenience: My display is 1680X1050 and I find that if I boot the machines out of sequence (i.e., #2 first), I generally need to reset the display resolution of the second machine. Other than this, I have no complaints and have been using the unit for several weeks without any other difficulty. It was very simple to set-up and install. I do not hesitate to recommend it.

5 out of 5 stars Works great, you have to get one!!   November 8, 2007

Works as described, able to switch between servers with the click of a button. Great for anyone using a home lab to prepare for certifications.
