3 out of 5 stars Meh.   November 11, 2008
Its a really nice piece but I was expecting it to be fully enclosed by the rubber and also its poorly designed it should have been able to slide out like the most cruisers so that you dont have to take the flash drive out of its rubber shell.

If you dont want to lose your flash drive, this is a great product. It is a little difficult to remove from my PC but I definitely will not lose it.

This by far my slowest USB flash drive, bar none. And yes, my system supports USB 2.0 and the system log identifies it as a high speed device.

5 out of 5 stars Very convenient flash drive.   March 27, 2008

I love the durability and convenience of the casing, and the drive itself is tiny. Very pleased.

This item works flawlessly after you simply follow simple instructions to divide or partition the drive in half (my choice) then give it a password, your finish.

When you insert this in a USB port the portion that all can see shows all, example folders and files, plus a little .exe file, you or anyone can delete or add / copy and use any of these files.

Click on the .exe file and your prompted for a password word, once entered the files and folders you were just seeing goes away (including your file manager program) one can not see at the same time both protected (hidden) and the general folders and files.

This is just how it works, you click on the file manager program once more and it instantly pops up showing the hidden folders and files, (but not the general open to all files) to print, add, copy or delete files, once done just click on the icon (icon tray bottom right) to "Safety Remove Hardware" click on your drive letter for the USB drive and your automatically logged out !

If you truly need a storage place that doesn't show your files / pictures this is it !, don't ever lose or forget your password if you do, you have only (or someone trying to get into) 6 times it enter the password correctly or the whole little hard drive re-formats automatically, better have a back up of the files, maybe on a CD hidden under your mattress : - )

The 2gB size works for me, I have scanned some important items, owners cards, driver license, car / motorcycle insurance, medical cards not to leave out credit cards / checks, copy all both sides all in Adobe format (.pdf) and the most important item "all passwords / log-on names" in Word Pad format (most every computer has Word Pad)

So anywhere I travel even on a motorcycle (Rubberized Shell) I have copies of my important stuff in case of a wallet or cell phone is lost, yes even have a back up telephone number list, think I can remember all the numbers in my cell phone, also e-mail address ? : - )

As I stated, works flawlessly !!! but it isn't waterproof pretty close but no, not water tight.
