5 out of 5 stars iomega external hard drive   December 1, 2008
I purchased and deployed three units recently. I am happy with the performance and clear instructions for their usage.

4 out of 5 stars Don't delete anything from your computer   December 1, 2008
The only thing I have to say that is a very useful product. You can storage all you information without the need to erase anything. The only con is the size and weight of the drive (but they're managable), but it seems to be very durable and resistant. Glad to bought it.

5 out of 5 stars Best and easiest electronic device yet!   December 1, 2008
After needing additional storage for my files, I started researching specs, prices and reviews of comparable drives and comparing. This one by far sounded the best and got best reviews. I ordered it and had it connected and running exactly 4 days afer ordering, even though it included a weekend. Amazing. The device was the easiest computer component I've ever encountered. Not a computer pro, I just plugged it in and immediately had it up and running and already transferrng files. It is fast and extremely easy to use. The unit is very attractive and looks to be extremely well built. I am really happy with the purchase to say the least, just hope it holds up well and lasts, see no reason it won't. I've not tried the free downloading software for backup yet so can't comment on that. But for anyone not really well versed in computer coponents and drives, this cannot be beat for it's simplicity! Would definitely recommend it!

5 out of 5 stars Iomega 500 External Hard Drive   November 29, 2008
I plugged it in to the USB and followed the procedures given... and went immediately to backing up my computer hard drive. It was simple and easy to back up to and also get information from.

Received two of these drives to use with our Mac computers using time machine. I was a bit worried because other reviews mentioned heating problems. Given the fact that I have used other Iomega products, I purchased them anyway. There have not been any problems in the month I have been using the drives, and heating is DEFINITELY NOT a problem.
My only regret is that I did not opt for a tera-byte drive.
