4 out of 5 stars USB Fan   January 9, 2009
This thing works great. It's an internal PC Case fan, made to work free standing and powered by USB. Pretty quite on the lower settings (nob adjusted), and powerful on the high setting.

Only one problem. There is no on/off. If the usb has power running to it, the fan is on. Newer computers have a trickle power to the USB even when the computer is off. That means when I don't need or want the fan on, it is. It's a constant draw on power.

However, the reason I got this fan is to help exhaust hot air from my computer cabinet. Not a lot of ventalation and the computer dumps a lot of hot air. I put the Fan on top of the case, pointing out the front of the cabinet. Works like a charm. Needs an on off switch though.

It seems to be the only real game in town for my application, I've searched and even tried one of those fan on the end of the adjustable metal arms. It is very loud and if exposed to hot air, it will lose it's shape and sag/drop down.

This is the way to go, I might even get another to plug into my Xbox to blow cool air over it.

Hope the review helps.

5 out of 5 stars cools my CPU   January 7, 2009
When the cooling fan on my Toshiba quit working, the local Toshiba service center said the motherboard was bad and quoted $500 for a new one. I bought one of these Thermaltake fans, removed the fan from the cage, and used Velcro to attach it to the bottom of my computer over the fan outlet. The little sucker easily keeps my system under 45 degrees Centigrade. The computer isn't quite as convenient to use as before, but it sure has a new lease on life.

5 out of 5 stars Very Cool!   January 6, 2009
The perfect little USB fan for cooling down my DELL XPS M1730 ...works like a charm.

5 out of 5 stars great little fan   December 18, 2008
I've bought 2 so far!
One for occasional use with my laptop one for our Wii or ps2. They work great, quiet, adjustable.

5 out of 5 stars Great fans   December 12, 2008
I bought 4 of these fans to cool down my ps3 which is in a closed cabinet.
I just installed them in the panel in the back and keeps my ps3 about 65 F degrees when running. Without the fans it ran about 105 F.
