Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars OK, but some warnings   December 20, 2008
It was my first buy of a graphics card in about a decade, so I not an expert in gpu.
I'm not really owning this card right, I exchanged it to a friend by an ATI X1950XTX, for the following reasons:

1) The card is so big that it barely fit on my Apevia X-Qpack2 case, also the power connectors where very difficult to reach because there wasn't enough space.

2) My 500W PSU wasn't enough for the card, the PC didn't event boot with both power connectors attached to the card. It even required 2 PCIEXpress power connector. Be sure to check the power requirements of the card to make sure your psu supports it, it says 450W min required but there is another power requirement printed on the box I can't recall right now, sorry (I think it's: minimum +12 Volt current rating of 26 amps).

But I did test the card on my friend's computer, playing Fallout 3, on medium quality it felt very smooth, on high quality the graphics lagged a bit everytime that entered into VATS mode.

So, that was my little experience with this product, just wanted to let you know before you make the same mistake that I did.

5 out of 5 stars Price/Performance sweetspot.   November 26, 2008

I just picked up one of these and got it installed yesterday (same card, different manufacturer).

Maybe it's that it was such a huge upgrade from my old ATI card on my last system, but this card is amazing. Right now this is easily the best card for the money. Check some testing sites like Tom's Hardware - this beast performs like a champ no matter what you're throwing at it.

It does of course require a pretty beefy power supply, and it's 11 inches long (thats what she said), but right now this is probably the best card on the market for how cheap it is.

5 out of 5 stars Finally able to play Crysis at High Setting!   November 25, 2008
This review is for the chipset and not for the maker.
I use a Palit 9800GTX+ card.
At 1280x1024 (max my monitor can support) i can finally play Crysis at FULL quality setting with 2x AA.
And the temperature stays a cool at 51 C max.
Amazing card. Plays whatever game i throw at it.

Works fine, but..
1920X1200 max settings still needs something more powerful.

5 out of 5 stars Best card for the price!   August 19, 2008

I bought this card because it's better than the original 9800 gtx

pros
-better fan speed at 100% takes the card as low as 39 c in an ambient of 40 c yeap i live in the caribean. the old one i had a 8800 gts at full fan speed it only came down to 54 c, you cant compare such a great cooling system. measurements made at iddle not load.

-better clock and overclock speed

-takes hot air out of the case

-i can play crysis with no flags, before i had an 8800 gts only gave me 26fps now 45 fps at 1280 x 1024

-for the price is very good

cons

-long card 11 inches it touches the rear end of my hard disks.

other thoughts, i was goin to buy the 4850 form ati but it's fan dosent take out hot air, also the card is way hot, even at iddle it's 77 c with full fan speed.

i will keep on updating the review

new stuff before in 3dmark 2006 was 10,850 marks
now 16,700, very good score, i have a quad core also.
