Great CaseDecember 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this case after I was experiencing serious overheating problems with my two 9800GTs in a midtower case. Now I'm showing anywhere from 10-20 degree improvements on the cards in the Cooler Master Case depending if I'm at idle or running a seriously graphics intensive game.
I really like the tool-less design- both the hard drive mounts and the back panel mounts for add-on cards are all done without a single screw to tighten down. The only exceptions are when you move fans around and install the roller casters (and the PSU of course).
This case is huge which provides about 6 inches of clearance from by bottom card to the bottom of the case (2 way SLI board) with the PSU mounted at the top. The only drawback to top-mounting is that you'll have to remove the top 230mm fan and there's no other place to mount it. Empty, this case weighs in about 27.5 pounds but it does come with roller casters as mentioned before.
The only complaint I have, and it's a small one, is a the blue LED power light is so bright it illuminates the entire back of my office. Some people might find it annoying.
best case everDecember 2, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
had a antec 900 case before this. love the case it is very roomy. love the cable management. stock fans only provide 230mm are 70cfm. thats after i called coolmaster. that okay i replaced with higer cfm fans. on nvidia site able to put Gtx 280 in 3-way sli in this case. able to install two psu on top and bottom, no need to buy bigger psu as your system upgrades.
Coolermaster HAF chassisNovember 2, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is by far the best pc case I've ever owned. High air flow is an understatement. Massive fans in front, side and top provide all the cooling you'll ever need and best of all you cab barely tell they are even running (very quite). The case is quite large(and the widest I've ever seen) giving you plenty of room for hidden cable management. The top or bottom power supply placement is also a great option, with the bottom placement allowing for airflow from the bottom. If you looking for a quality case with a lot of features and flexibility, this is it.
