Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars Cannot handle Core i7 heat even at stock speeds   December 12, 2008
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

I purchased this cooler from a local store for my Core i7 965 CPU (3.2 GHz stock speed). This cooler cannot even cool the i7 at *stock* speeds! Under load (8x Prime95), the stock Intel Core i7 965 cooler was able to maintain the chip at 64 degrees C even overclocked to 3.8 GHz. This cooler, however, was unable to even cool the chip at 75% load (6x Prime95) at the stock speed of 3.2 GHz: it reached 80 degrees C and the processor had to throttle down to prevent overheating. This cooler should NOT be advertised as an LGA 1366 cooler because it cannot handle the heat from Core i7 CPUs.

1 out of 5 stars Not as advertised   December 8, 2008

This product IS NOT for an i7 socket 1366 as advertised. There were no additional mounting brackets included for the 1366 socket, This product is of no value if you bought this for any new i7 processors.

1 out of 5 stars No LGA 1366 Attachment Hardware Included   November 25, 2008

Good packaging, bad advertising. Nowhere in this package is the required LGA 1366 attachment hardware. If your getting this for a Christmas present, buyers beware.
