It's not really white. It's actually more like silver.
That said, it's a good case that will keep your MacBook snug and unscratched. It is velcro, so you won't have to worry about rouge zippers nipping at the matte finish, which seems to be a big problem for a lot of other cases. Also, it doesn't add a whole lot of bulk or heft to the computer - I am able to fit it horizontally in my small messanger bag, even though it's obviously meant to fit vertically in a normal backpack - but it does provide the protection needed.
The case is good, but if you really want white to match your MacBook (personally, it doesn't really matter to me - no one can see the case in my bag anyway), you may want to look elsewhere.
