More Form Than Function (Pins Easily Bend)January 6, 2009 I'm always weary of people who are quick to give an item 5 stars and not truly give it a run for its money. This card reader is more form than function. I purchased it because we do allot of re-formatting. You can not be quick about inserting the cards and after a short period the pins can become bent making it difficult for the unit to recognize or read the card satisfactorily... I found the SimpleTech & Dazzle PCI Slot Card Readers to be a much better tool by far for our Laptops

with all the different kinds of cards, a must have!December 23, 2008 very useful little gadget. i especially like using this if a friend has taken some pics on the camera and don't have their cable, i can just take the card out and use this to take the ones I want. you can also remove the base for traveling which is helpful when space is at a premium.
SanDisk SDDR-89-A15 ImageMate 12 in 1 Card ReaderDecember 21, 2008 I was unable to transfer photos from my SDHC cards so, since I had a previous SanDisk ImageMate, I checkd to see if they offered a new one that would read the new SDHC format. Fortunately they did so I ordered it and have been very happy with it. I always keep it connected to my USB port for ready use but I like the docking station because I can keep the reader out of the way until I want to use it. I always use SanDisk compact Flash and SD cards so knew their reader quality would continue to be as good as their earlier model and their cards. Price was right and the product works as well as advertised and expected from their company.
Worked fine while it lasted!December 1, 2008 Maybe I was expecting too much, but this product failed after two years with infrequent use. It worked as advertised but then one day I tried to use it, and well - nothing - it was gone!
Well worth the money!November 30, 2008 Very easy to use and very fast at transferring data. So far I have only used the CF reader, but it worked very well. I'm not sure if there is a way, but I just wish the stand was removable.
