About Surveillance Camera Technical Features Lux rating is the measurement used to indicate how sensitive a camera is to light, and stands for the level of light reflected off a piece of paper by a candle from one meter away. Excellent low light vision cameraJune 3, 2007 Of my several security cameras that I have securing the perimeter of my house, one is a Clover B/W and other three are different other brands. All of them do fine during daylight but during the night the Clover is the only one which can still 'see' while others go blind. A 60-watt light bulb on my motion sensor gives the Clover enough light to convey a clear and excellent picture to my recorder. One of my other cameras was sprayed on during one night, so now I have the Clover 'protecting' this other camera from its hidden location during the night. Strongly recommended.
