The Clover DVR0800, utilizing MPEG-4 video compression, achieves 30 frames per second (frames-per-second) per video channel at a maximum resolution of 720 by 480 pixels. The DVR0800 includes TCP/IP remote viewing access, built-in five-region per-channel motion detection, pan/tilt/zoom camera control (via RS-485), watermarking, and event recording by alarm sensor, timer, motion detection or manually. This DVR has a built-in 80 GB (Gigabyte) hard drive, with the option for a second one (sold separately), and a CDRW drive for event backup, so you will have plenty of digital space for event storage. The user-friendly search functions let you sift data by date, time index, skip or delay, and allow forward and backward searches in fast, normal, step and pause modes. About Digital Video Recorders A Digital Video Recorder (DVR) takes video signals from security cameras and converts the video stream into a digital format for storage on an internal hard drive.
