PowerShot ReviewAugust 29, 2008 Poor pictures when you have to use flash. Instruction booklet is confusing and hard to follow. I would probably not purchase this camera again.

Love it!August 27, 2008 Love this camera! It's easy to use, the pictures come out crystal clear and perfect. For the women: it's small enough to fit in a clutch purse. For the Men: it's small enough that my husband can easily fit it in his pant pocket. The slenderness of this camera is a BIG PLUS over bulking digital cameras when traveling or at a wedding.
Great little camera!August 26, 2008 This little camera is fantastic. I read reviews on Amazon, Cnet, and Consumer Reports, and each rated the SD850 as one of the best. I was expecting a good camera, but it actually exceeded my expectations. The images are extremely clear, even when taken with the optical or digital zoom (especially the optical). When you zoom in with the extreme digital, the image looks fuzzy on the LCD, but it sharpens up and focuses perfectly when you take the shot, even when shooting moving images. (I shot a blue heron as he was beating his wings, and the image is crystal clear; it looks as if I'm standing next to him, although I was actually about 70 yards away.) The movies are very good (although the zoom is a little fuzzy), and the face detection for stills is great. Also, it's very simple to operate with only a quick glance through the manual. This is a great buy!
