Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
From its humble creation in 1982, the Holga has grown into a globe-spanning cult item, able to capture the most unique photographic treasures that you have ever seen. Pick up the Holga, free yourself from the rules, and shoot your heart out. The famous Medium-format dynamo, now with a built in flash and color-gel filters! Prepare to employ your trusty Holga day or night as the flash opens up new worlds of low-light images with the beloved Holga effects, soft focus, double-exposures, streaming colors, intense vignetting and unpredictable light leaks. A "B" setting keeps the shutter open for as long as you like, and the dandy new tripod thread allows for smooth tripod mounting. "Mes Vacances Avec Holga" Photo Book by Frederic Lebain: A self-taught photographer, Mr. Lebain first saw the Holga 4 years ago in a New York photo shop. Since then, he has become one of the premier Holga artists in the world, holding exhibitions throughout Europe and Asia and being published in the venerable likes of Jalouse and DS Magazine. This 90 page book is a visual chronicle of Mr. Lebain's travels over the past few years, as told through his very finest Holga images. Softcover. Published by the Lomographic Society, 2002

3 out of 5 stars Fun at first..   November 14, 2008
Im not a professional photographer by any means, but I bought this camera set thinking it would be a fun little addition to a road trip I had planned. I read on the whole lomography thing.. but when the camera came I was a little dissapointed for the price of $60.00. It seems like all you really need is THE CAMERA, THE ELECTRICAL TAPE, THE FILM. Everything else they charge you for is not necessary.
It certainly was fun to take the pictures, but I have yet to develop the film, not a lot of places near my home deal with that particular kind of film. The whole taping process of the camera is a drag as well. I honestly don't even know if I'll ever use it again. So it was pretty much a $60.00 one time toy.Maybe I'll be more excited when I actually develop the film.. ? :)

5 out of 5 stars Excellent for Lomography virgins   October 12, 2008
After reading the awesome reviews for this product, I decided to purchase one. It takes really cool, artsy pictures and the instructions were clear and helpful. Can't wait to take more pictures!

5 out of 5 stars This Camera Rocks   October 1, 2008
I went out on a limb buying this camera. My friend has a fisheye camera and I thought that was cool, so I googled it, and then discovered the Holga and the Diana cameras. I looked at countless pictures taken with the cameras and decided I wanted part of the double exposure club.

It is so exciting waiting for the pictures to be developed and the pictures have come out great so far, really interesting...I tried using 35mm film and the pics didn't turn out right so don't waste your time trying that trick. Skip 35mm modifications altogether and stick to 120!

I love my Holga and recommend this camera for anyone who is looking to jazz up their photographic journey thru life. I use a digital but whenever I bring out the Holga everyone wants to know what the heck it is and want to play with her.

5 out of 5 stars Don't expect perfection!   August 31, 2008
But with a Holga, the lack of perfection is what makes it special! :Love this little guy. The colored flashes add even more hilarity to the beast! Cheapest way to get into medium format ever. Oh... and so NOT a toy!
