Enjoyable movie for you and your childNovember 8, 2008 I have to admit the beginning was not expected and the story line was thin, but overall it's a cute movie. My husband and I didn't have high hopes for it but my 3 year old daughter wanted to watch it. It isn't as good as the original but it was fun seeing Ariel, Sebastian, and Flounder on the screen again after all these years. Now my daughter is a huge fan and talks about Ariel every day. Looks like we need to get the orginal now.
not a typical DisneyOctober 27, 2008 I Love Disney movies. Usually it is because the story is good and so is the music. This story was nice, but I have to say that the music was just AWFUL! It pretty much ruined the movie for me. I mean in one part there was this dreadful piano piece that didn't even fit. Sally Field, as much as I love her, can't sing. Disney could have made this movie so much better. I would suggest they try again with a different soundtrack.
