The Duracell Powersource Mobile 100 is a revolutionary new stand-alone power solution for the traveler on-the-go. Employing a powerful battery pack and having both AC and USB outlets, you'll never find yourself without a convenient power source for all your mobile electronics. Duracell Powersource Mobile 100 makes carrying multiple cords, chargers, and device-specific batteries a thing of the past.

Duracell Powersource Mobile 100
runs multiple devices for hours.

Packed with Features
The Duracell Powersource Mobile 100 is packed with features that will keep you up and running while you are out-and-about. It combines a capable 100-watt power inverter with a powerful 4 amp-hour lithium-ion battery pack. Lithium-ion batteries are well renowned for their light weight, reliable rechargability, and a remarkably slow loss of power when not in use. This means long-lasting power will be ready to go when you are. The 100-watt inverter is paired with a grounded AC outlet and two USB sockets. It is strong enough to recharge your equipment's batteries and provide power for nearly all of your electronic needs --it can even power many small appliances. The included lightweight AC charging adapter will recharge the unit from any household electrical outlet. The DC charging cable allows for recharging via any vehicle cigarette-lighter outlet or compatible airplane connector. LED indicators signal on/off and battery charge status, so you'll always know how much power remains.

Perfect for Travelers
Duracell's Powersource Mobile 100 is ideal for those who frequently travel. If your laptop battery runs low or you need more play time with your MP3 player, portable gaming console or DVD player, just connect your device into the AC outlet and keep going. It can power your equipment directly, or simply recharge the batteries. The two USB ports will keep your BlackBerry, iPaq, Palm, or iPod devices charged and ready to go when you need them the most. Additionally, you can plug the unit in and recharge multiple devices indefinitely. The mighty battery provides up to 2 additional hours of runtime for a laptop, 12 hours of playtime for a PlayStation Portable, and an amazing 44 additional hours of music for an iPod. BlackBerry devices get 34 more days of standby, while standard mobile phones gain 12 additional days. The Powersource Mobile 100 not only frees you from carrying extra cords and batteries, but it saves you money as well as space in your bags.

Duracell Powersource Mobile 100 Protects Your Equipment
The Duracell Powersource Mobile 100 has several features to keep both you and your devices safe. Over-temperature shutdown keeps the unit from overheating under extreme conditions and prevents fires. The overload shutdown ensures that the unit's battery does not become damaged from over-charging. Low-battery voltage shutdown turns the unit off when there is insufficient energy to power your devices, keeping the internal circuitry of your mobile electronics safe from harm. An included Electronic Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter immediately terminates power if the unit is exposed to water or other liquids that could cause a short circuit. The Powersource Mobile 100 also comes with a one-year warranty.

Bought the battery to go with the adapter I bought for my camera. I dropped my camera and broke a small piece where the door to the batteries locks. I could not keep the batteries in and use the camera at the same time. I was quoted $250.00 to replace the body; camera cost $400.00. I decided to try the adapter with a lithium battery that still allows me to be mobile. Tried the battery with my PC, but it only gave me 20 to 30 additional minutes.

3 out of 5 stars Ok. Expected better battery life.   August 7, 2010

This Duracell Powersource Mobile 100 is a solid product, but don't expect spectacular performance. I can charge my cell phone twice, and an ipod touch twice, and that's about it; haven't tried it on a laptop yet. I initially thought it might not be a lithion battery, I bought mine this year (2010), and after a few months of occasional usage read the manfacturer's tag and saw that the date of manufacture was 2006. It is Li-ion, but perhaps of older technology.

The unit is a good size, but for powering laptops on a plane, or when traveling, compare this with other chargers/powerpacks that are juiced from AA NiMh, hybrids, or lithion disposables. This unit is a bit bulky for fitting in a laptop bag or backpack, although it will easily fit in a suitcase. When re-charging the powersource, a cooling fan kicks on periodically and it noticeably loud. However, this unit has the additional major feature of also functioning as an inverter for the car. I bought mine in the $30-$40 range here on Amazon. If you pay more than that, it may not be worth the price, unless you are looking for a small inverter that will also function as a battery backup powersource.

1 out of 5 stars Item discontinued, old stock, does not work   July 23, 2010

I bought this item new just a week ago and the date of manufacture was 9/25/2006. This item has been discontinued, the battery is old stock and won't hold a charge and it will not charge a common cell phone from the USB port. I plug in my Motorola flip phone using a micro USB cable and nothing happens. I cannot return it because I lost the packaging. Total junk. Amazon needs to pull this item from their shelves. Four year old batteries are worthless......

I'm another customer who fell into the trap to buy this. item manufactured on 2006, red light every time I plugged to the wall or the cigarrete plug in my car.
I'm returning it as we speak
Totally disappointed and angry at the seller for not testing this!!
