The Story In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince the Video Game, Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemort’s defenses and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend and colleague, the well-connected and unsuspecting bon vivant Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds crucial information. Meanwhile, the students are under attack from a very different adversary as teenage hormones rage across the ramparts. Harry finds himself more and more drawn to Ginny, but so is Dean Thomas. And Lavender Brown has decided that Ron is the one for her, only she hadn't counted on Romilda Vane’s chocolates. And then there’s Hermione, simmering with jealously, but determined not to show her feelings. Yet as romance blossoms throughout Hogwarts, one student remains aloof. He is determined to make his mark, albeit a dark one. Love is in the air, but tragedy lies ahead and Hogwarts may never be the same again. Gameplay Like earlier video game releases in the Harry Potter franchise, the action in Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince the Video Game revolves around the exploration of Hogwarts and the action that results from what you uncover. The game features both an engrossing single player mode as well as local multiplayer modes for up to two players. During their adventures, players will have a chance to engage in exciting wizard duels, mix and brew magical ingredients in potions class and take to the air to lead the Gryffindor Quidditch team to victory. Players may even get sidetracked by Ron’s romantic entanglements as they journey towards a dramatic climax and discover the identity of the Half-Blood Prince. Key Features

HP & HBP computer gameJanuary 7, 2010 Robin(Texas) My 9 year old daughter and I have both had lots of fun playing this game.
Medical Alert: Everyone threw-up playing this game!December 24, 2009 James 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
We tried out the game and everyone got sick, (they threw-up), because of the graphics make the focus change as you move the character around environment. The whole environment constantly moves so its a very sickening experience and it does not take long to take effect. The previous game (Order of the Pheonix), was fine, because it did not have that effect, if they could add the new features to that program it would be great.
This is a disgrace of the Harry Potter franchise!
Always a great giftDecember 1, 2009 Carrie(Missouri) I ordered this game for my little brother as a Christmas present. He loves all of the Harry Potter games, and they are done so well in the PC format. I have no doubt that the graphics on this will even surpass the last.
Newbie Loves ItOctober 30, 2009 LB(Hoboken, NJ) This is my first experience playing a computer game for any length of time. I LOVE it. This game is extremely addictive. As a huge Harry Potter fan, I can tell you that every time you put the CD in your computer, you feel like you're at Hogwarts. The graphics are great, and many cast members lent their voices. There is so much to see and do in this game, and if you are new to the gaming experience, this is a great way to learn.
It does play pretty slowly in my PC--I had to lower the resolution and close any other programs running, but it's still very fun.

It's an O.K. game not the greatest but not the worst either. I've played much better games, but overall I would recommend this game to others. That is if you like Harry Potter or are a fan.
