5 out of 5 stars surprisingly solid mic stand   August 28, 2008
I wanted a cheap mic stand to allow me to sing and play an instrument at the same time in Rock Band, and this seemed like the best bang for the buck - A boom extension is a must for this activity.

I didnt expect a super solid product given the price and all it comes with, but I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived - the quality of this item is actually quite high. The stand, the boom, and all the adjustment knobs and such feel solid and decent, and it has more weight to it than I expected. I dont know if I'd use this out on a real rock stage, but for home use is it definitely above the par for what is needed. As a bonus it includes a mic as well, but I cant attest to the quality of said mic as I havent had a use for it yet.

Overall this exceeded my expectations, and for $20 to get a stand, boom, clip, and even a mic it is a very good deal.

5 out of 5 stars AWESOME product, especially for the price   July 20, 2008

I bought this to use when I play rock band. I love it. It adjusts a million different ways which is great for when I want to play the drums and sing. I highly recommend this product. Also, as a bonus it came with a regular microphone!! You can't beat that!!

5 out of 5 stars Good quality for the money   July 15, 2008
Good quality for the money, but I had to buy an adaptor for it to work with our amp. The cord cost me as much as the microphone and stand. Regardless, I still think it is worth every penny.

5 out of 5 stars Great value, great for Rock Band guitar playing vocalists   July 11, 2008

A great value, the stand and all the included accessories are great quality. It makes it so easy to sing along while playing guitar (well, singing + playing at the same time is tricky by itself, but the stand is perfect). Haven't tried with drums yet, but with all the possible adjustments I think it will also work great. The included mic holder fits the Wii Rock Band mic very well.

4 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for :)   July 2, 2008

I've owned several of these over the years. To sum it up: you get what you pay for. The mic is surprisingly acceptable quality, but not anything you would want to use in live sound or god forbid in the studio (even a home studio). On other hand, the stands are sub-par quality in my experience--very cheaply manufactured. I've had several break and they're all around not too stable. Although when they did break, they were being man handled by friends, so that could ultimately be the cause (but poor construction remains an issue). If you get these, be sure to be careful and you should be fine. As the previous reviewer suggested, get this to hold you over until you can afford the real thing!
